“Death Roll”

Animal Horror – 90 Minutes

When the helicopter carrying the replacement crew for the oilrig “Artemis-1” goes down in a storm over the remote marshes of Louisiana, the workers think they’ve had the worst of it. As the de-facto leaders of the remaining twelve crew, Skip Romano (Aaron Douglas) and Helena Burke (Evangeline Lilly) must lead them out of the disease-infested swamp. But the task isn’t as easy as he thinks, for beneath the waters lurks an undiscovered and highly aggressive breed of prehistoric crocodiles. To make matters worse, Chief Science Officer Emil Zarofvsky (Dennis Hopper) soon looses his hold on reality and begins plotting to sacrifice his compatriots one by one to his new crocodile gods!

Best Line of Dialogue:
Medical Officer Hughes (Chris Elliott): “Don’t you get it? The whole thing is fucked! We were twelve miles off course when we hit!”
Burke: “We’re lost?”
Hughes: “You don’t know the half of it, sweetie.”
Romano: “And what, exactly, is the 'other half' of being lost?”

Tag Lines:

“Not every dinosaur is buried in the ground.”
“Terror never evolves.”
“It makes Lake Placid look flaccid.”
